At ATSER, our success is built on the expertise and dedication of our talented team members, and this month’s Employee Spotlight shines on Elias El-Dahdah, who has been with us for an incredible 30 years. Elias serves as a Systems Vice President, playing a pivotal role in the development of some of our core solutions, including Asphalt-IT™, Lab-It™, Concrete-IT™, and the Manage-IT™ suite.
Elias’ Role at ATSER
Elias joined ATSER in 1994 as a Lead Software Engineer, where he contributed to the development of Asphalt Mix Design Software and various other data acquisition solutions. Over the years, his role evolved as ATSER transitioned to Java Web Application development with an Oracle backend database. Today, Elias focuses on providing technical support through our helpdesk and maintaining our database infrastructure, ensuring that ATSER’s software systems run smoothly for our clients.
When asked about what drives him, Elias highlighted his commitment to keeping ATSER’s software up and running and prioritizing client satisfaction. “Client satisfaction is the first step to success in any business,” he says, a philosophy he’s applied throughout his career at ATSER over the last three decades.
The Motivation
Elias finds fulfillment in his work by integrating statistical analysis into our Manage-IT™ applications, a significant technical achievement that has set our software apart from our competitors. This statistical module, used for continuous monitoring of QA and OV testing, employs advanced methods like p-values from F- and t-tests to provide clients with unmatched insights and quality control.
Memorable Milestones
Throughout his career, Elias has been a part of several large-scale projects, including collaborations with Harris County Public Infrastructure Department, City of Houston Public Works, UDOT, CDOT, and WSDOT. A standout project for Elias was his work with GDOT, where he integrated statistical analysis and developed plant rating and validation features for asphalt and concrete. “No other software on the market has this type of module,” he shares with pride. Looking Forward
Though Elias plans to retire soon, his commitment to ATSER remains strong. He aims to continue supporting the team when needed and is excited about keeping ATSER’s systems successful even after his retirement.
Elias’ technical expertise, his three decades of dedication, and his contributions to ATSER’s software innovations make him an invaluable member of our team.
